Smith and Wesson Announces New M&P M2.0 10mm Pistol

Earlier this week, Smith & Wesson announced the upcoming release of the M&P 2.0 10mm pistol. This is the company’s latest addition to its semi-automatic pistol line, including the popular M&P15 series. As you might expect, the new model features a number of upgrades. The first is a new all-metal frame, which allows the pistol to be more durable than its predecessor. It also includes a steel insert, which improves recoil management. In addition, the M&P 2.0 is also more lightweight than the M&P 15 series.

Recoil management

Whether you’re a law enforcement officer or recreational shooter, you’ll find that Smith & Wesson’s M&P 2.0 pistols have an ergonomic design that’s perfectly suited for a variety of shooting disciplines. A new flat-face trigger provides consistent finger placement, which helps reduce felt recoil. It’s also lighter and has a shorter trigger pull.

Smith & Wesson has also expanded the M&P 2.0 line with a 10mm variant. This model features an extended stainless steel chassis and a low bore axis to reduce muzzle rise. The pistol also features an optics-cut slide, which provides a clear sight picture. The pistol comes with a 4.6-inch barrel length, which is ideal for backwoods defense.

M&P 2.0 pistols also feature a reversible magazine release, which makes it easy to switch out magazines without resetting. The pistol also has an ambidextrous slide stop, which allows shooters to shoot with either hand. The M&P 2.0 pistol also features a durable corrosion-resistant Armornite finish.

All-metal frame

Introducing the all-metal, striker-fired Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Metal pistol. This pistol features a solid billet of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy and a stainless steel slide and barrel. This combination offers the foundation for better performance.

The M2.0 Metal features an 18-degree grip angle, which promotes a natural point of aim. It also has a low bore axis, which reduces muzzle rise. This improves aim recovery and decreases felt recoil.

The M2.0 trigger has a flat face, which allows for consistent finger placement. It also features a lighter, crisp trigger let-off. The M2.0 pistol also includes a Picatinny-style rail, forward slide serrations, and an enhanced sear. It also accepts any M2.0 17-round magazine.

The M2.0 Metal handgun also features a slide cut for mounting micro-red-dot optics. It also has a Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish and black accents. It weighs 30 ounces unloaded. It is listed at $899.

Steel insert

Whether you are hunting, sport shooting, or simply need a self-defense handgun, the Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 10mm pistol is a great choice. It offers an enhanced grip texture, an improved trigger, and an optics-ready slide. The M&P M2.0 10mm pistol has a smooth, flat-faced trigger that can be reset both by touch and by sound. It is also ambidextrous, with front and rear cocking serrations.

The M&P M2.0 10mm pistol comes with two magazines and an optics-ready slide. The magazine has a polymer base plate and is made of steel. The M&P M2.0 10mm is available in various sizes and configurations.

The M&P M2.0 is also available in a stainless steel frame. It features a stainless steel barrel with a 1-in-10 twist and a high grip-to-barrel bore axis. This helps reduce muzzle flips and provides a more comfortable shooting experience.

The M&P M2.0 10mm also comes with a pistol grip with thumbnail cutouts. This allows for a slim grip that is not overly thick. It is also designed with a flat-face bladed trigger that promotes consistent finger placement.

Polymer-framed vs all-metal

Compared to a metal-framed 10mm pistol, a Smith and Wesson M&P2.0 polymer-framed pistol has the advantage of an extended chassis, which helps reduce flex when firing. This is a significant factor in handling characteristics. But the M&P M2.0’s design does not break new ground in handgun design.

The grip on the M&P M2.0 is solid and comfortable. It has a slim design and a lot of space. It is also made from a polymer material that prevents corrosion and decay. The trigger guard is also relatively thin. This means the pistol has a good, close-to-bore-axis grip. A flat-faced face-bladed trigger is also included. With this trigger, you can pull the trigger more smoothly and precisely.

A steel 15-round magazine is included with the M&P M2.0. The magazine has a polymer base plate and a reversible magazine catch button. This allows the magazine to fall freely when released.

The M&P M2.0 also has interchangeable backstraps. These custom-fit backstraps allow the user to customize the palm-swell angle.
